Notable raises:
π° Parallel Learning raised $20m. The US based company was created when it became clear that a new approach was needed in the special needs assessment and therapy space. The company is working in five states and hoping to launch in 12 more by the end of the year.Β
π° Germany-based Knowunity secured $10.5m. The startup enables top students or βKnowersβ to create and publish content to help βLearnersβ better understand the curriculum. It is now one of Europeβs fastest-growing EdTech apps and has over 2.4m users.
π° HourWork, a SaaS recruitment and retention platform for quick-serve restaurant (QSR) franchise owners, grabbed $10m. HourWork has experienced explosive growth, adding 4,000 franchise locations to the platform in 2021 for a total of over 5,000 locations.
π° WizKlub, an EdTech startup that builds future skills for school children raised $7.5m. The India-based startup develops skills in children aged 5-15 years through its smart tech programs.
π° LeHibou raised $6m. With 60k tech consultants, LeHibou is positioned as the leading freelance IT platform. The startup works with major clients such as Axa, BNP, Renault, Accor Hotels, ManoMano, LVMH and Vinci.
π° UAE recruiting platform Ogram raised $3m. Ogram uses technology to enable businesses to book and manage staff on demand, making their job matching 160 times faster and 50 percent more reliable.
π° Flexa raised $2.5m. Job seekers can use the UK-based startupβs hiring platform to discover more about a potential employer before applying for a job. Flexa has 450k users and is used by 150 companies including Allianz, FARFETCH, Carwow and Elvie.
π° The UAE's Coinmarketpedia raised $2m. Coinmarketpedia has so far hired 70+ instructors and offers a library of 160+ courses related to subjects such as crypto trading and blockchain.
π° South Africaβs FoondaMate secured $2m. FoondaMate helps students by guiding them through their revision and giving them immediate answers to questions. FoondaMate has been used by 400k+ students in over 30 countries.
π° Jovian, a startup focused on data science and machine learning raised $1.5m. Jovianβs flagship data science and machine learning bootcamp helps working professionals transition to a career in data science.
π° Studeo, the tutoring app tailored to students getting accustomed to remote learning as a result of the pandemic, raised $1.2m. To improve student engagement, the platform has summarized subjects into short videos with in-video exercises and quizzes.
π° Jobizo raised $500k. Founded in 2021, Jobizo aims to shorten the skills gap of three million healthcare professionals in India by becoming a one-stop solution for all healthcare staffing needs.
π° Yougami raised $100k. Yougamiβs aim is to help kids develop the skills they typically donβt learn through the school curriculum.
