Notable raises:
💰 Velocity Global raised $400m. The company’s ‘Global Work Platform’ seamlessly connects employers and talent worldwide. Velocity Global now serves more than 1,200 clients and over 7,000 employees worldwide.
💰 Masterschool, a network of tech career-training schools, raised a $100m seed round! Like some of its competitors, Masterschool students don’t pay any upfront tuition for the 6 to 12 months it takes to complete its program.
💰 A.Team raised $55m from investors like Adam Grant and Jay-Z. A.Team’s business model is based on matching top-tier talent with worthy projects. It has amassed a network of over 4,000 professionals, with more than 500 applications each month from others looking to join.
💰 Fetcher, the talent acquisition platform formerly known as Scout, closed a $27m funding round. Fetcher currently has over 350 customers (growing 10% month-over-month) including Behr Paint, Albertsons, Foursquare and Shutterstock., and annual recurring revenue tripled in the last 12 months.
💰 QuestBook raised $8.3m. The startup is a platform that allows firms to give grants to developers and invest in them in an efficient and more transparent way. It also screens projects using a number of factors such as a developer’s on-chain and GitHub history to shoulder much of the burden from various blockchain and web3 firms.
💰 Pintarnya raised $6.3m. The Indonesian startup is an app which includes verified job postings and financial services, like loans, for blue-collar workers. Pintarnya’s recommendation algorithms takes into consideration a jobseeker’s current salary, availability and the frequency in which they switch jobs.
💰 HobSpace raised $4.5m. The India-based company is an online chess learning and playing platform for children and has taught over 15,000 kids across North America, India, the United Kingdom, and other regions. It offers extensive coaching for complete beginners to professional players through renowned chess coaches.
💰 STEMuli raised $3.25m to transform traditional classroom learning with the ‘Educational Metaverse’. STEMuli connects companies to their future workforce of K-12 students and endeavors to narrow achievement and employment gaps for users.
💰 Underline Science closed a $2.5m pre-Series A round. Underline's digital video library contains 26,000+ videos. The video content is from the world's prestigious scientific universities and lecturers from MIT, Harvard, Facebook, Google and more.
💰 Pressto announced $1.5m. Pressto also begins to prepare students for a future of work where "creator skills" like publishing, sharing and audience development are critical to success. The platform is currently part of a pilot program with the New York Department of Education reaching over 30,000 students throughout the city.
💰 Werk, an Estonia-based hiring and relocation platform for skilled migrant construction workers, raised $1.3m. The company now has customers within Estonia, Finland, Sweden and Denmark.
💰 Junto raised $1.2m. Junto offers a scalable learning platform with interactive live online trainings and a cross-company learning community, learning directly from the brightest minds in the tech industry (e.g. top executives at Google, Amazon & Adobe).
